Jesus gives every believer the commission to be
(1) “The salt of the earth” (Matt.5:13)
(2) “The light of the world” (Matt.5:14).
In the natural realm, man can taste salt and can
see light. Here we have the two spiritual keys to
manifesting to the world the very essence of who
God is. As we fulfill the dual mandate to be salt
and light, we can cause the world to be enabled
to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”
