Just as “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of
Happiness” are the three marks the physical
“kingdom” (government) of America, we find
Paul stating what are the three
distinguishing marks of the kingdom of God
that exists in the hearts of every born-again
believer: they are “Righteousness, Peace
and Joy in the Holy Spirit. Notice that
serving Christ in these three areas makes
ones service “acceptable to God.”
