Jesus is seeking to teach His disciples HOW
to effectively pray, not merely WHAT words to
say. To truly be effective against the forces of
evil, this prayer must be viewed as a pattern for
how to pray to God our Father while living out
our lives on an earth that is under the sway of
the Wicked One who is guiding the present
course of this evil age.
