The third thing we must do, as members of the church that desires to be counted worthy to escape, is to
embrace the call by God to demonstrate a life lived for God before Satan’s principalities and powers regardless
of the cost:

“TO THE INTENT THAT NOW THE MANIFOLD WISDOM OF GOD MIGHT BE MADE KNOWN
BY THE CHURCH TO THE PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES...”
                                                                       Eph. 3:10

God has chosen the faithful in His church to make a public demonstration of unswerving allegiance to God
before Satan’s rebellious kingdom of principalities and powers. This was done before by a man called Job of
whom God testified him to be:

“...NONE LIKE HIM ON THE EARTH, A BLAMELESS AND UPRIGHT MAN,
ONE WHO FEARS GOD AND SHUNS EVIL.” Job. 1:8

This is to be the testimony of the church as well. Unfortunately, as we have seen prophesied, much of the
professing church will fall short of that testimony. Even so, like the Marines, God is looking for a few good men
like Job so that God can work through them as He did through Job:

“FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD RUN TO AND FRO THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE EARTH,
TO SHOW HIMSELF STRONG ON BEHALF OF THOSE WHOSE HEART IS LOYAL TO HIM.”

                                                                  2 Chron 16:9

Job faced immense hardship, to say the least. Through his trials he bore the testimony, “In all this Job did not
sin nor charge God with wrong” (Job 1:22). Job proved that he did not serve God just for the blessings or for
the protection from Satan’s evil oppression. He indeed fulfilled Eph. 3:10 to the letter even before it was written.
Job is a type of the church that God is looking for throughout the whole earth.

Lastly, the church is called to embrace the higher calling God has placed upon it other than the act of salvation:

                                                    “CHRIST ALSO LOVED THE CHURCH
                                                         AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR HER,

THAT HE MIGHT SANCTIFY AND CLEANSE HER
WITH THE WASHING OF WATER BY THE WORD,

THAT HE MIGHT PRESENT HER TO HIMSELF
                                                               A GLORIOUS CHURCH,

NOT HAVING SPOT OR WRINKLE OR ANY SUCH THING,
BUT THAT SHE SHOULD BE HOLY
                                                           AND WITHOUT BLEMISH....
                                                           THIS IS A GREAT MYSTERY,

BUT I SPEAK CONCERNING CHRIST AND THE CHURCH.”
                                                                        Eph 5:25-33
