LESSON # 3:
“THE KEY TO REPENTANCE”
Most people mistake sorrow for repentance. Godly
sorrow is certainly important. In fact, the scripture
says, “Godly sorrow produces repentance not to
be regretted” (2 Cor. 7:10). However, repentance is
not the act of “being sorry for sin.” Repentance is
not an emotional reaction, but rather a firm
decision. Consider carefully what the psalmist lists
below as a clear definition of repentance:
