“RISE AND MEASURE THE TEMPLE OF GOD…
LEAVE OUT THE COURT WHICH ISOUTSIDE THE TEMPLE,
AND DO NOT MEASURE IT FOR IT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO
THE GENTILES. AND THEY WILL TREAD THE HOLY CITY UNDER
FOOT FOR FORTY-TWO MONTHS, AND I WILL GIVE POWER TO MY
TWO WITNESSES, AND THEY WILL PROPHESY ONE THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED AND SIXTY DAYS…
THESE ARE THE TWO OLIVE TREES AND THE TWO LAMPSTANDS
STANDING BEFORE THE GOD OF THE EARTH” Rev. 11:4
“THESE ARE THE TWO ANOINTED ONES,
WHO STAND BESIDE THE LORD
OF THE WHOLE EARTH”
Zech. 4:14
“The Two Witnesses” spoken of above are the return to
earth of the prophet of prophets, Elijah and the lawgiver,
Moses. You can read of Jesus discussing His death with
both of them in Matthew 17:3. Elijah is singled out as
one of the two that will be sent by God during “the Day
of the Lord” in Mal. 4:5.
Why these two? Moses the lawgiver, will be sent to
contend with Antichirst who is “the Lawless one.” Elijah
the prophet appear to contend with “the False Prophet.”
