LESSON #2:
“THE MAKING OF A DISCIPLE”
The Christian is called to much more than
just “receiving Jesus” along with His free gift
of eternal life. The new birth is to produce a new life, a
life of discipleship. It is not left to our own imagination
as to what “discipleship” means. We are called to be
conformed, transformed into the full measure and
stature of Jesus Christ. This is not accomplished by
the new birth. Rather, it is a life-long process of
progressing from “glory to glory” as we yield our lives
to the work of the Holy Spirit.
