“LET NO ONE DECEIVE HIMSELF…” 1 Cor. 3:18

“THIS BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART FROM YOUR MOUTH BUT YOU SHALL
MEDITATE IN IT DAY AND NIGHT, THAT YOU MAY OBSERVE TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL
THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT. FOR THEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN

YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.” Joshua 1:8
“I WILL MEDITATE ON YOUR PRECEPTS…I WILL MEDITATE ON YOUR STATUTES…

OH, HOW I LOVE YOUR LAW! IT IS MY MEDITATION ALL THE DAY…
                         THAT I MAY MEDITATE ON YOUR WORD” Psm. 119:15, 48, 97, 148

“FINALLY BRETHREN, WHATEVER THINGS ARE TRUE…NOBLE…JUST…PURE…LOVELY…OF
                  GOOD REPORT… VIRTUE…PRAISEWORTHY…MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS…
AND THE GOD OF PEACE WILL BE WITH YOU.” Phil. 4:8-9

                                  “TO CHEW THE CUD”
“A PRIVATE DEVOTION OF SPIRITUAL EXERCISE CONSISTING

IN DEEP CONTINUED REFLECTION ON A RELIGIOUS
THEME…TO MUSE OVER, PONDER, CONTEMPLATE, REFLECT
UPON…INTROSPECTION, SELF-EXAMINATION OF ONE’S LIFE

IN LIGHT OF THE PATTERN OF THE SCRIPTURES…” Webster

I must STUDY God’s Word so that no one deceives me, but I must
also MEDITATE in the Word in order that I do not deceive myself.
Meditation is for introspection of self. The process of meditation makes this edge of
God’s two-edged sword to be like a skilled surgeon’s knife which often must wound in
order to bring forth healing. Paul instructs the believer to be very introspective:

“EXAMINE AND TEST AND EVALUATE YOUR OWN SELVES,
TO SEE WHETHER YOU ARE HOLDING TO YOUR FAITH

AND SHOWING THE PROPER FRUITS OF IT. TEST AND PROVE YOURSELVES.”
                                          2 Cor. 13:5 Amplified Bible

Take the time to “meditate” in these passages from “SO GET RID OF ALL
