Listed above are 8 of the 34 repetitious uses of the phrase “YOUR WORD” found in Psalm 119. Obviously, it
is the overall major theme of the 176 verses recorded in this psalm. There are 6 other repetitious themes in
this psalm as well. These 6 sub-topics each appear twenty-plus times within the 176 verses of this psalm. It is
my conviction that these 6 sub-topics constitute what is the full content of the phrase “YOUR WORD” in
Psalm 119. Simply put, “YOUR WORD” consists of these 6 topics.
This newsletter is dedicated to introducing these six themes to you as yet another perspective by which we
may “rightly divide the Word of truth” as 2 Timothy 2:15 exhorts the believer to become astute in doing. I
believe that Psalm 119, as well as Psalm 19, are presenting these six themes as the means by which we may
systematically take into our soul a balanced diet of the Word of God. Interested?
