3. IMITED ATONEMENT OF MAN BY GOD

WHAT CALVINISM BELIEVES ABOUT ATONEMENT:
“The Lord Jesus Christ made atonement to God by His death only for the sins of those to
whom, in the sovereign good pleasure of the Almighty, the benefits of His death shall
finally be applied. Neither are any other redeemed by Christ but the elect only. Christ died
exclusively for the elect and purchased redemption for them alone; Christ made
atonement only for the elect and in no sense did He die for the rest of the race.”

It is within the confines of this unbelievable statement of Calvinistic theology that we can see the pride of
elitism swelling up. Jesus did not die for the sins of the whole world, but rather just for the sins of those
whom God has sovereignly chosen to be saved. I will quote extensively from Robert Foster’s book so that

you may be stimulated to purchase it for yourself and read about the errors of this false theology:

The doctrine of a limited atonement is
not taught in the Scriptures-anywhere!
Rather we find an all inclusive gospel:

“…GOD OUR SAVIOR, WHO DESIRES ALL
MEN TO BE SAVED…WHO GAVE HIMSELF

A RANSOM FOR ALL…” 1 Tim. 2:3-6

“…WE TRUST IN THE LIVING GOD, WHO IS
