Another notable change takes place during the time of the tribulation that supports the concept of a
definite paradigm shift having taken place. It deals with the identity of God’s “two witnesses”:

“AND I WILL GIVE POWER TO MY TWO WITNESSES, AND …IF ANYONE WANTS TO HARM
THEM, FIRE PROCEEDS FROM THEIR MOUTH…THESE HAVE POWER TO SHUT HEAVEN, SO
THAT NO RAIN FALLS IN THE DAYS OF THEIR PROPHECY, AND THEY HAVE POWER OVER
WATERS TO TURN THEM INTO BLOOD, AND TO STRIKE THE EARTH WITH ALL PLAGUES,

AS OFTEN AS THEY DESIRE.” Rev. 11:4-6

You do not need to be a rocket scientist to be able to figure out that these verses are describing the
previous attributes of the prophet Elijah and the law-giver Moses. Luke 9:30 shows that indeed it is Moses
and Elijah appearing to Jesus discussing His death. They are His two witnesses. Malachi specifically
singles out the return of Elijah at the time of the Day of the Lord (Mal.4:5).

Here is the point: God does not send back to earth the founding church apostles Paul and Peter! Why?
Because there has been a paradigm shift. The church is no longer His witness on earth, nor is it the
salvation of the Gentiles that God now seeks. The fullness of the Gentiles has come in, and it is now time
for “all Israel to be saved.” Since it is the salvation of Israel that is now God’s objective, He sends back to
earth, to His Jewish people whom He seeks to save, the two Jewish leaders who best represent the Law
and the prophets, Moses and Elijah. Why? Because it is the Law and the prophets that the Jewish people
revere. They will be ready to listen to Moses and Elijah bearing witness of Jesus being the long-awaited
Jewish Messiah! The earth will have experienced a great

The church age will end with Jesus calling five Israel awaits its God-appointed prophetic

History will record that the latter-day church has
failed miserably to carry on the mandate as did Hos. 6:2-3)
