“YOU ARE “…HAVING MADE The “mystery” (hidden truth) of God’s will is that He
COMPLETE KNOWN TO US is using Jesus Christ to unite together into one “…all
THE MYSTERY things that are in Christ.” This encompasses the
IN HIM” OF HIS WILL… faithful Old Testament saints that Jesus brought up
THAT… from Paradise (Abraham’s bosom) at His
resurrection (Eph. 4:8-9, Mat. 27:51-53), as well as
HE MIGHT GATHER all new covenant faithful saints that will either be
TOGETHER IN ONE raised from the dead or raptured alive at the coming
of Christ prior to the tribulation. Whatever is in
ALL THINGS IN heaven presently as well as whatever is on the
CHRIST, BOTH earth, Jesus Christ will bring them into one. You can
WHICH ARE IN read about that in the Book of Revelation as it brings
HEAVEN AND forth “New Jerusalem – the Lamb’s wife” (Rev. 21).
WHICH ARE
ON EARTH -
Eph. 1:9-10
If you are not overwhelmed by going through all
the references to what the believer is “in Him,”
then look up these other often-repeated phrases
throughout Paul’s epistles that also convey the
completeness that is in Christ:
It’s the same message, but conveyed through “YOU ARE
different phrases. The Holy Spirit wants us to COMPLETE
fully grasp who it is that God the Father has
established as supreme authority, a central IN HIM”
figure that conveys the fullness of the Godhead
bodily ( Col. 2:9). Jesus is not just “our savior,”
He is Lord God Almighty, creator and sustainer
of all things. Consider these examples of how
Paul unites together various phrases that
depict the magnitude of who Jesus Christ is:
(take the time to read carefully the fullness of these passages in your Bible)
ALL THINGS WERE CREATED… “FOR
ALL THINGS WERE CREATED… AND
“YOU ARE AND “YOU ARE AND
COMPLETE COMPLETE
AND ARE ALL THINGS…”
IN HIM” IN HIM”
ALL THINGS CONSIST” Rom. 11:36
Col. 1:16-17
Do you begin to grasp an inkling of why it is that Paul stated of Christ, “For in Him we live and move and
have our being”? (Acts 17:28) There is no expression of God given that is not found also “in Him.” In fact,
Paul, in the opening statement of his epistle to the Hebrews, says of Jesus Christ:
“GOD…HAS IN THESE LAST DAYS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, WHOM HE HAS APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS,
THROUGH WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS (aions - ages), WHO BEING THE BRIGHTNESS OF HIS GLORY AND
THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, AND UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, WHEN HE HAD
BY HIMSELF PURGED OUR SINS, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MAJESTY ON HIGH…” Heb. 1:1-3
