careful study. I point this
out because the doctrinal
waters of the rapture are
often muddied by attributing
events that belong to the
Second Coming of Christ to

the rapture by Christ.

One of the great prophetic chapters in scripture is “AND HE WILL “THEN TWO MEN “BUT OF

Although they sound like the event of the rapture, they are

not passages describing it at all. We can prove that by first

considering the context in which they are found. Any good

English teacher will tell you that the “and”, “then” and “but”

lead-in words connect these verses

to those found above them.

If you are going to be among those who “…need not be
ashamed before God ” and “rightly divide the word of truth”
as 2 Tim. 2:15 exhorts, then you must develop the habit of
scrutinizing the contextual setting of any and all doctrinal
proof-text” scriptures such as “…of that day and hour, no
man knows…” Is this a verse about the day of the rapture?
