The believer,in his/her walk with God,
cannot even get to first base apart
from confessing that God’s precepts
are right in all things. We are warned
about the danger of walking in our
own understanding:

“…LEAN NOT TO YOUR OWN PRECEPTS –”A WAY OF THINKING,
UNDERSTANDING; IN ALL YOUR WAYS
ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL CODE OF ETHICS
DIRECT YOUR PATHS. DO NOT BE WISE A CONCEPT, (THEORY, IDEA, PLAN OF ACTION,)
A PRINCIPLE (A BELIEF THAT GOVERNS CONDUCT)
IN YOUR OWN EYES (OPINION).”
