Num.12:3 were commissioned to the only two servants the Holy Spirit Matt. 11:29
singled out in the Word of God as possessing the
character trait of exceptional meekness.
We can put to rest the world’s erroneous interpretation of meekness by considering just two events in
the lives of these two servants of God. Does this describe men under fire who behaved as
“tame, timid, bland, weak, mild, docile, lacking ambition, spiritless and wimpish”?
“SO MOSES’ “MEEKNESS “WHEN

One aspect of the meaning of this word defined as “meekness” is that it means “controlled strength” as
demonstrated by both Moses and Jesus. Were they angry? Yes! Was their righteous anger under
God’s control? Yes! The Scripture says:
“BE ANGRY, AND DO NOT SIN”
DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR WRATH, NOR GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL.” Eph. 4:26-27
