BUT NOW YOU ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD.
WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT.” Eph. 5:8 “YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD… Matt.5:14-16
LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN,
“…THAT YOU SHOULD NO LONGER WALK THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS,
AS THE REST OF THE GENTILES WALK, AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.”
IN THE FUTILITY OF THEIR MIND,

HAVING THEIR UNDERSTANDING DARKENED,
BEING ALIENATED FROM THE LIFE OF GOD,

BECAUSE OF THE IGNORANCE
THAT IS IN THEM…” Eph. 4:17-18

Since it remains a choice for the unregenerated to continue to remain in darkness and reject the light, it

is equally true for believers in Christ to choose to reject letting their light so shine before men. It is a

possible choice that every believer, that has become the Light of the world, to choose to keep their light

hidden under a basket (Matt. 5:15), and to be salt that has lost its flavor and become “good for nothing”

(Matt. 5:13). Do you want to be good for nothing in God’s sight , or demonstrate such a changed life that

some of those in darkness (like we once were) may “see your good works and glorify your Father in

Heaven”? It won’t be done by participation in anti-abortion or anti-gay protest rallies held by incensed

Christians who are angry with the works of the children of darkness. Those who want to remain

darkness will do so-prophecy says so! Again, at the risk of being redundant, we Christians are not here

to DOMINATE over the works of darkness, but rather to INFLUENCE as many as will listen. Such was

the life of Jesus as the Light of the world, and so must it be for each and every believer who has

become in God’s sight, the Light of the world. Let us show light (our good works) to darkness, not just

demand that they stop their evil works of darkness! As long as they remain darkness, that is all they

can do! Jesus said: “YOU ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL,

AND THE DESIRES OF YOUR FATHER YOU WANT TO DO.” John 8:44

Keep in mind that at one time our father was also the devil! In order to forsake the works of darkness
we had to exchange “father Devil” for “Father God.” Dear saints of God, how can we, in utter hypocrisy,
expect unregenerated darkness to obey our commands to stop killing their children? They are getting
their desires from their father. What kind of “father” is the devil?

“…HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, AND DOES NOT STAND IN THE TRUTH,

BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM…” John 8:44-45

Legislated acts of prohibition didn’t work in the 20’s and won’t work in the year 2011! That is a
philosophy based on DOMINANCE. We cannot suppress evil by the forceful use of power and
authority. It will go underground as the bootleg-liquor industry of the 20’s readily demonstrated. Outlaw
abortion, it will go underground. Outlaw pornography, it will go underground. Outlaw gay marriage or
homosexuality and it too will go underground because we are not dealing with the real issue which is
darkness in the hearts of men. We must change the heart, not the law! The INFLUENCE to do so lies
at the feet of the children of Light to “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good
works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” We can INFLUENCE some, but prophecy states most will
continue to“…love darkness rather than light”, and therefore darkness will prevail as prophecy states:

“BUT WICKED MEN AND IMPOSTORS WILL GO ON FROM BAD TO WORSE,
DECEIVING AND LEADING ASTRAY OTHERS AND BEING DECEIVED AND LED ASTRAY THEMSELVES.” 2 Tim. 3:13 Amp.
